About Author

Avraham Cohen holds a PhD from the University of British Columbia. He teaches in the Masters in Counselling Program at City University of Seattle. He also works as a psychotherapist in private practice in Vancouver, BC, Canada. He has published widely in peer-reviewed journals in the fields of counselling and education, and presented his work at national and international conferences. He is well-known for his knowledge of Eastern philosophy, as well as for his work on mindfulness and inner work for educators, students, counsellors, and clients. He was recently awarded the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors 2007–2008 President's Award for Distinguished Contributions to the Discipline of Counselling.
