Richard Brook Connell received his PhD from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), a BSc and MBA from New York University, and a diploma in international management from the London Business School and L’Ecole des Haute Etudes Commercials.

Prior to joining the faculty at UNSW, Dr. Connell spent 20 years in the management consulting industry, most recently as a practice chairman, member of the European Operations Committee, director of the Asia-Pacific region, and vice president. During his tenure in consulting, his specialties were strategy development and mergers and acquisitions.
