About Author

Anthony E. Clark is an assistant professor of Chinese History at The University of Alabama. He earned his PhD from the University of Oregon in classical sinology and Chinese historiography. His other area of research is in late-imperial history, focusing on the cultural interactions of Jesuits and other orders with native Chinese during the Ming and Qing dynasties.
