Kenneth Kaoma Mwenda is Senior Counsel in the Legal Vice Presidency of the World Bank in Washington, DC. Professor Mwenda is also Extraordinary Professor of Law at the Law Faculty of the University of Pretoria, South Africa. He holds, among other qualifications, a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of Zambia; a postgraduate Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL/MPhil) degree from the University of Oxford, UK, a Master of Business Administration degree (MBA) from the University of Hull, UK, and a PhD in Corporate Law from the University of Warwick, UK.

A Rhodes Scholar, Professor Mwenda has also served as an academic in the Law Faculty of the University of Warwick, UK. He has been a Visiting Professor of Law at the University of Zambia, the University of Miskolc (Hungary), the University of Pretoria (South Africa), and the University of Western Cape (South Africa), respectively. Recently, in 2008, upon the successful examination of Professor Mwenda’s large volume of published scholarly work, Rhodes University in South Africa awarded Professor Mwenda the esteemed (and rare) Higher Doctorate Degree of Doctor of Laws (LLD). Within Commonwealth Africa, and among Commonwealth African legal scholars in the diasporas, Professor Mwenda is one of the extremely few Higher Doctorate degree holders in the field of law. Professor Mwenda is the author of 18 scholarly books and over 70 articles in leading peer-reviewed academic and professional journals.

About Gerry Muuka

Gerry Nkombo Muuka is Professor of Management/Business Strategy at Murray State University in Kentucky. Since 2000, he has been the Associate Dean in the College of Business, where he also coordinates the seven graduate programs of the business school, including the 180-student MBA Program. A former Lecturer at the Copperbelt University (CBU) in Kitwe, Zambia, Professor Muuka holds degrees from CBU (Bachelor of Business Administration, Distinction/Summa Cum Laude), MSU (Master of Business Administration), and the University of Edinburgh in Scotland (PhD, where he studied under a Commonwealth Scholarship). He has published over 30 articles in peer-reviewed journals, in addition to one book and over 20 chapters in books and conference proceedings. He has received numerous awards, including the 1998 Presidential Fellowship Award––the most prestigious academic award at Murray State University. In 2006 Professor Muuka received the Sandra Flynn Professor of the Year Award.

Mutinta M. Choongo holds both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees from Murray State University, Kentucky, in the areas of Computer Science (BSc degree) and Telecommunications Systems Management (MSc degree). She is currently working as a manager for a private sector institution in Murray, Kentucky.

Haretsebe Manwa graduated with a PhD in Tourism Management from James Cook University, Australia. She is currently a senior lecturer in Tourism at the University of Botswana in the Department of Management. She has also taught Tourism courses at the University of Zimbabwe and National University of Lesotho. Her research interests include: tourist destination competitiveness, community-based tourism, heritage and cultural tourism, gender and tourism, and mentoring in organizations.

Linus Osuagwu holds the degrees of BSc Tech (Second Class Upper Division) in Management Technology (Maritime) from the Federal University of Technology Owerri Nigeria, an MSc in Business Administration (Marketing) from the University of Lagos Nigeria, and a doctorate degree (PhD) in Business Administration (Marketing), also, from the University of Lagos. A widely published scholar, Professor Osuagwu has served as Senior Lecturer at the Lagos State University Ojo, the Federal University of Technology Owerri Nigeria, and the Yaba College of Technology Lagos, Nigeria. He has also served as Associate Professor (adjunct) at the Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Nigeria and as a Visiting Professor (adjunct) at the Igbinedion University Okada, Nigeria. Professor Osuagwu was once head of the Departments of Marketing, Insurance and Business Administration and Management Technology at the Faculty of Management Sciences, Lagos State University Ojo, Nigeria. More recently, he has also served as Professor of Marketing in the Department of Business Studies at Covenant University, Nigeria. He is currently a Professor of Marketing at the American University of Nigeria, Yola, Nigeria.

Judith Mvula-Mwenda is a senior public health specialist based in Rockville, Maryland. She has previously served as a medical doctor at the University of Zambia Teaching Hospital in Lusaka, Zambia. Dr. Mvula-Mwenda has also worked in the health sectors of Zimbabwe and South Africa. She holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the University of Manchester, UK, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Leicester, UK, a Medical degree (MD) from the University of Zambia, as well as a pre-medical degree (BSc) in Human Biology from the University of Zambia.

Musonda Kapatamoyo is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mass Communication at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Dr. Kapatamoyo holds a PhD in Mass Communications and an MA degree in Communication and Development both from Ohio University, and a BA degree in Development Economics and Political Science from the University of Zambia.

Fackson Banda is holder of an esteemed Professorial Chair in the School of Journalism and Media Studies at Rhodes University, South Africa. Dr. Banda earned his PhD from the University of South Africa. He also holds an MA degree from the University of Leicester, UK, and a BA degree in Mass Communication from the University of Zambia. Dr. Banda has published widely in the areas of political communication, media sustainability, media policy, and new media. He has also previously worked for Panos Institute and the Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation. Dr. Banda previously taught at the University of Zambia.

Ndangwa Noyoo holds a Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Zambia, an MPhil degree in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge, and a PhD from the University of the Witwatersrand. He has worked as a Senior Researcher at the University of Johannesburg and was also a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow between 2005 and 2006, with the Fondation de la Maison des Sciences De L’Homme (MSH), Paris, France. In 2007 Dr. Ndangwa Noyoo held the positions of Senior Lecturer and Deputy Head of the Department of Social Work in the School of Human and Community Development at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. He has also lectured at the University of Zambia and worked as a Street Educator for Street Kids International (Canada-Zambia).

Solomon Matumba is a lecturer in the Department of Social Work at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. Solomon’s research interests include e-learning and social work. He is passionate about exploring different ways to improve the use of technology within the social work profession. Solomon holds a Bachelor of Social Work (BA Social Science) from the former Rand Afrikaans University (RAU) and a Masters degree in Clinical Social Work (MA Clinical).

Mumba Mumba holds a BSc degree and an MSc degree in Physiotherapy from the University of the Western Cape, South Africa. She also received a Masters degree in International Studies from Ohio University. Currently, she is pursuing a PhD in Communication Studies with a focus in Health Communication at Ohio University. She has practiced physiotherapy in rural and urban hospitals of Zambia and South Africa, respectively. She has also worked in a Zambian rehabilitation facility for children with disabilities, in addition to working in community based-settings.

Choshi D. Kasanda is currently the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Education, as well as Professor of Mathematics Education at the University of Namibia. Professor Kasanda holds MSc and PhD degrees from the University of Wisconsin, in addition to a BSc(Ed) degree from the University of Zambia. He was the founding Head of the Department of Mathematics and Science Education at the University of Zambia and at the University of Namibia, respectively. Professor Kasanda has been involved in the delivery of higher education pertaining to Mathematics and Science Education for over 30 years.

Kazhila C. Chinsembu is a lecturer in Molecular Biology at the University of Namibia in the Department of Biological Sciences. He holds a BSc degree from the University of Zambia. He has previously lectured at the University of Zambia, and served as researcher at the International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology in Kenya.

Chola Chisunka is Professor of English Literature at Fitchburg State College in Massachusetts. Dr. Chisunka has previously taught at the University of Zambia. He holds a PhD from Syracuse University. Dr. Chisunka also holds an MA degree from Syracuse University, as well as a BA degree from the University of Zambia.
