About Author

Yong Lang is associate professor of applied linguistics in the Department of English at the University of Texas-Pan American. He holds a PhD in foreign/second language education from Ohio State University. He obtained his BA and first MA from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China, and his second MA from the University of Lancaster, England. His areas of research include linguistics, second language acquisition, cross-cultural communication, program evaluation, and the creation of language teaching materials. Dr. Lang has published extensively and is the coauthor of seven books.
