About Author

Gillian Dooley is an Honorary Research Fellow in English at Flinders University in South Australia. Her books include From a Tiny Corner in the House of Fiction: Conversations with Iris Murdoch and V.S. Naipaul, Man and Writer, and she has published essays and book chapters on a range of subjects including Jane Austen, British explorer Matthew Flinders, Doris Lessing, and J.M. Coetzee. She is a regular book reviewer for several Australian magazines and radio programs, and is the editor of the electronic journal Transnational Literature.
