About Author

Bradley J. Phillips, MD, is board certified in general surgery and surgical critical care. Dr. Phillips is director of surgical critical care and the burn program at Swedish Medical Center in Denver, Colorado, where he also serves as associate director of trauma. He graduated from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in 1995 and completed his residency at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. He then completed three fellowships at Brigham and Women's Hospital-Harvard Medical School, Boston Medical Center-Boston University School of Medicine, and the Shriners Hospital for Children in Galveston, Texas. Dr. Phillips has authored and edited hundreds of journal articles, book chapters, and case studies, and he is on the editorial boards of five professional journals. He has lectured on burn injuries, trauma, and critical care at conferences around the world, and he has been the recipient of multiple Patients' Choice Awards. Dr. Phillips' devotion to medical research and education is driven by his unending quest for providing the fullest life possible for injured children, and he has started the non-profit foundation 'burncorps' to help achieve this.
