Nathanael O’Reilly is an assistant professor of English at the University of Texas at Tyler. He holds a PhD from Western Michigan University, specializing in Australian, postcolonial, and modern British and Irish literature. He has published articles examining works by a variety of authors, including Peter Carey, David Malouf, Tim Winton, Liam Davison, Murray Bail, Janette Turner Hospital, Richard Flanagan, Andrew McGahan, Thomas Keneally, Hanif Kureishi, Daniel Defoe, and Walt Whitman. He is the coeditor of Fear in Australian Literature and Film, a special issue of Antipodes.
