About Author

Harry Melkonian is an Honorary Associate at Macquarie University Law School and he also teaches at the United States Studies Centre at the University of Sydney. He holds a PhD from Macquarie University Law School, a JD from New York University School of Law, an MA from the University of Western Sydney, and a BA from the University of Rochester. Dr. Melkonian also practices law in Sydney and has been admitted to practice in New South Wales, California, New York and England & Wales. His practice and publications focus on the First Amendment and intellectual property aspects of media law. Dr. Melkonian is also the author of Defamation, Libel Tourism and the Speech Act of 2010: The First Amendment Colliding with the Common Law.
