About Author

Lynn Sutton is Director of the Z. Smith Reynolds Library at Wake Forest University. She has a Ph.D. in Education Leadership and Policy Studies from Wayne State University, and a Master of Arts in Library Science from the University of Michigan.

Previously, Dr. Sutton was the Associate Dean of the library system at Wayne State University. She was also the first director of the undergraduate library at Wayne State University. In addition to her work at Wayne State University, Dr. Sutton served for almost 10 years as corporate director of libraries for Detroit-Macomb Hospital Corp.

Dr. Sutton has published articles on the suppression of speech by the United States government and on intellectual freedom. She serves on the American Library Association’s Intellectual Freedom Committee.
