Note:
The illustrations are taken from the author’s copy of The Ten Pleasures of Marriage and the Second Part: The Confession of the New Married Couple, reprinted privately by the Navarre Society Ltd. in 1922.
The book was originally published in 1682, possibly in Holland, and the illustrations for the Navarre edition were taken from the original plates. It has been attributed to Aphra Behn because of the initials A. B. on the letter at the end of the first part.
The publisher’s preface states it was taken from the only whole copy known, the Bodleian Library possessing an imperfect copy.
The Gutenberg Project has published it as an e-book, free of copyright, in the United States.
