I first heard about the manuscript for Archaeoastronomy in East Asia a couple of years ago and encouraged its publication. Now seeing the complete manuscript, I believe its authors have created the most complete English catalog of ancient East Asian comets and meteor showers that has ever been published. This makes it a valuable resource for future research, and I have no doubt that with its help future comets will be identified with ancient East Asian comets.
