This edited volume could not have been possible without the hard work of a number of people, both in the preparation and delivery of the Pathways to Peace conference and on the volume itself. The conference was the a project that emerged from the Jewish Academic Network for Israeli-Palestinian Peace (JANIP), a group of committed faculty across the United States who believe a just and lasting peace can be achieved through dialogue and compromise.
