- 13. As for commodities other than raw white silk, upon determining the price of the silk, they must be sold immediately. However, Chinese ships are small, so you may choose [the time of sale for them] freely. In addition, twenty days are allocated for paying for the goods in silver.
- 14. Foreign ships must leave no later than the twentieth day of the ninth month. However, ships that arrive late must depart no later than fifty days after their arrival. You may deal freely with the Chinese ships and must order them to depart a little after the Portuguese ships.
- 15. Goods that remain unsold from the foreign ships must not be left behind in Japan. It is also forbidden to place them in custody [with someone in Japan].

16. Representatives of all five Itowappu cities must arrive in Nagasaki no later than the fifth day of the seventh month. Those who arrive later than this time must be excluded from the rationing of silk.
- 17. Even if ships arrive at Hirado, the price of silk will be the same as at Nagasaki. Furthermore, doing business is forbidden before the price [of silk] is decided at Nagasaki.
