Acknowledgments
All glory is to God, who orders my steps in the successful endeavors of my dreams. Without His grace, I would accomplish nothing. Secondly, I would like to thank my late beloved father, Andrew Kalibbala Kalanzi, and mother, Justine Wangabira Kalanzi. Thank you for helping me access a good education in Africa, both at home and in school, that empowered me with skills to write this book.
To my late sister and best friend, Millica Kyazze Kalanzi, who died of AIDS in 1997. The love we cherished over the years and her untimely death inspired me to do research on AIDS. May her soul rest in peace.
I would also like to thank Dr. James Williams, Dr. Ami Moore, Dr. Joseph Oppong, and Dr. Abigail Tilton for their guidance in the initial phases of writing this book.
I also thank Captain Dr. Godfrey Bwiire, Dr. Joseph Mwebe, Julliana K. Nyombi, Sikora Okure, Dr. Cissy Kityo, and my brother, Joel Sewanyana Kalanzi, for their assistance during the data collection process. To my friends Ester Taylor, Inshirah Nabhan, Rubye M. Dodson, and Lynne R. Barga, and my sister Susan Kalanzi, thank you for your support.
