DPRK for accurately grasping North Korean society in the contemporary era of the “Great Successor.”
This project represents the culmination of two successive seminars that took place at the University of Georgia, organized by its Center for the Study of Global Issues. We express our sincere appreciation to the Korea Foundation for providing a generous grant that funded the project. We also wish to thank the authors of this volume, as well as the staff of Cambria Press, for their painstaking efforts to revise their manuscripts multiple times in order to make them as current as possible in light of the rapidly changing political climate in both North Korea and the geopolitics of the region.
