Chapter : | Part I: Introduction |
reflect on the life of Margaret H’Doubler. Roundtable participants have all had careers intimately connected to dance at Wisconsin and they may be viewed as representing the last direct links to the H’Doubler legacy and the “Wisconsin Dance Idea.” Their remembrances are personal, collegial, and historic, as all had significant experiences with Margaret H’Doubler, and have deeply considered and reflected on Miss H’Doubler’s contributions to the field and to American education. H’Doubler’s own statement on “Modern Dance” concludes this section of our book.
