Acknowledgments
In looking back over the years of research that went into this book, it is difficult to find a way to thank all of those people who have played an important role in getting me to this point. With that in mind, I want to thank all of those who have contributed to my research over the years, especially those that I cannot name here. In particular, I want to thank the many teachers and students that have taken part in this research. Obviously, I could not have completed this book without you.
I must make mention of the student assistants that have helped with various stages of this research: Steve Jordan, Sharvari Nerukar, Dan Osiecki, PJ Packman, Craig Wampler, and James Yang. You have all been wonderful to work with, and I wish you the best as you pursue your own careers.
