Introduction

TASK Force on Corruption executive chairman, Maxwell Nkole, says Zambia’s ratification of the African Union (AU) Convention on the Prevention and Combating of Corruption and accession to the United Nations (UN) Convention Against Corruption will enable it arrange the extradition of former Zambian Ambassador to the United States, Attan Shansonga. And the Task Force on Corruption will stop hiring private investigators to probe cases in foreign countries because of the huge costs. In the light of the two conventions the country had nodded, it was no longer necessary to engage foreign experts. In an interview in Lusaka…Mr. Nkole said there were provisions in the two international conventions that arranged for the extradition of suspects who have fled from justice in any member country.1
