Inside a storage room in the hold of a ship headed towards New Land of Desire. There is a warning bell of 2 meters in diameter. A red signal light, also of 2 meters in diameter. Three boxes and two iron barrels, which are big enough for a person to get into and hide. When the curtain goes up, the warning bell rings loudly and the red light flashes. Both are on the wall at the back of the stage. When they stop, A, B, C, D, and E open the lid of the boxes and barrels, and climb out. The bell rings again. The red light flashes. The five people go back into their boxes or barrels. When the bell and the light stop, they climb out again. The men are of average appearance. They are of similar age with no noticeable characteristics that could give any indication of their line of work. Among them, D is the tallest, and B is the shortest. Compared
