E: (She sits without a word leaving her body subject to their scrutiny.)
- A: Now we have no hope whatsoever. We can't find it. There is no smell on that woman.
(A, B, C, and D step away from E and collapse around her box.)
- C: So, do we have to be kicked into the sea by the captain or some other assholes?
(The bell is sounded and the red light flashes. Startled A, B, C, and D run to their boxes and barrels. A falls down. C does not stop to help out A but jumps over him and climbs into his barrel. A stands up and kicks c's barrel, which falls over. Then, he climbs into his box. Confused, B tries to climb into A's box, gets hit on the head by A'S fist, which helps him regain his sense of bearing, and looks for his box. D looks at his barrel and vehemently shakes his head. He is worried about the sardine. D gives up his barrel and follows E into her box. Everything happens in a flash. The bell stops ringing. The light stops flashing.)

C: (He crawls out of his fallen barrel. Confused by the pain he felt when the barrel fell, he mistakenly believes that he has been dragged to the captain; trembling from fear, he rubs his hands above his head.) My dear honorable captain and valiant men of the sea, I have nothing but the highest respect for you. I am honored to have found myself on this ship. It was never the case that I paid the captain for my passage, or then again, it could be the case, and I could be begging at this point, or I may not be. If you were to kick me into the water, I would see the eyes of a whale; if you don't kick me, I may not see them. You could have me killed, or you may not have. The fact is I just cannot say with certainty whether it is this or that, no, I can. (He screams
