Chapter : | Five |
- B: She has wings!
- C: Those are not wings, they are her hands.
-
B: (He takes a closer look at her and becomes disappointed.) I see she is no goddess.
-
E: (She continues to flip her hands.)
- A: If she is not a goddess, she shouldn't interfere with man's business. Women are good at sewing or raising children, but they have no ability to overcome a crisis.
- D: What should we do, we don't even have a goddess…
(The warning bell is sounded and the red light flashes. E, who has been flipping her hands, is the first one to climb inside the box, and bewildered A, B, C, and D climb into their boxes and barrels and close the lid. Some time later the bell and the light stop. E is the first one to climb out, sits on her box, flips her hands for a while, and stops out of embarrassment.)
-
A, B, C, & D: (They climb out.)
-
B: (In a voice that sounds enervated.) It was very long this time.
- A: I must say it was very strange.
- C: What was?
- A: We should investigate ourselves to see whether there is a smell that's coming from us. It must be the case that there is a strong smell which excited their noses. It's a bad sign that the warning bell was rung this long. Everyone, let's investigate.
(A, B, C, and D try to get a whiff of themselves.)
- D: I don't smell anything.
- A: Try to investigate more meticulously.
- C: Yes.
-
E: (She looks at the strange behavior of the men who are sniffling themselves.)
- B: I don't smell anything from me.
