It seems to us that, whether in Israel or other open societies, parents and teachers have a special responsibility as role models to guide their children to where it is safe to navigate, while enabling those in their care to enjoy the many adventures and discoveries along the way. The Internet, as perhaps the foremost educational tool available, offers teachers the opportunity to enrich their young students with its vast resources while it challenges them to manage the messages it conveys that may contradict their own value systems.
