About Author

Juliann Cortese is Assistant Professor in the department of Communication at Florida State University. She holds a Ph.D. from the Ohio State University, an M.A. in Mass Communication from Kent State University, and a B.A. from Youngstown State University. Among Professor Cortese's research interests are media uses and effects, hypermedia learning, computer-meditated communication, Internet Use, and new technologies.
