About Author

Craig Turnbull earned his PhD from the University of New South Wales, where he undertook teaching and research in American, Australian, and environmental history. In 2002 he was a teaching fellow in American history at Victoria University, Wellington, and he has also taught history at the University of Sydney. More recently, he held the position of coordinator of Teaching and Learning Support and Development at the University of Newcastle. His other publications include papers on the history of the civil rights movement, urban history, and higher education. He is currently studying viticulture and oenology at the University of Adelaide.
