Figure 1 portrays the conceptual framework of this study using elements of SCT and literature related to learning processes. The elements of SCT (behavior, environment, and personal factors) will serve as a framework for presentation of pertinent literature relating to learning from the WWW.
Behavior / Learning
As stated earlier, the basis of SCT is grounded in the triadic reciprocal relationship between personal factors, the environment, and behaviors. The behavior of interest in this study is learning. Issues related to learning in general and learning from the WWW are addressed in the following sections.
