I imagined that at the completion of this project, I would have a group of professors and administration and a group of friends to thank. I consider myself extremely fortunate that in many cases, I now find it difficult to form two separate lines. Special thanks to Mary P. Walker, associate dean, and Ms. Joyce Goodrum, administrative assistant at Tulsa Community College; Prof. Stephen E. Meats, chairperson of the English Department at Pittsburg State University and poetry editor for The Midwest Quarterly; Dr. Allen R. Soltow, vice president for research and Mr. Robert “Bob” Heath, assistant director and advisor of Association of International Students (AIS) at The University of Tulsa.

My gratitude also goes to professors, administration, colleagues, friends, and students at Al. I. Cuza University, University of Tulsa, Central European University, and Pittsburg State University and to my friends and family in the United States, Romania, and everywhere else in the world. You are too many to mention here, but you will always be in my heart.
