Cristina Emanuela Dascălu holds a PhD in English from the University of Tulsa where she was the recipient of Teaching and Research Assistantships, a Publication Fellowship, and the Chapman Award. She also holds international Masters of Arts degrees in Communication (where she won the NAFSA Grant and PSU International Scholarship) and English (where she was awarded a Teaching Assistantship and the PSU International Scholarship) from Pittsburg State University. Dr. Dascălu’s other accomplishments include being on the Dean’s National List, the Award for Excellence of Research, Scholarship, and Teaching in the Department of Communication and Department of English, the Department of Foreign Languages’ Meritory Award (French), and the Wilson Scholarship.

Dr. Dascălu also holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees, as well as a Diploma de Licenţăde Merit (Summa cum Laude), All A+/Best Student, National Meritory Scholarship, from Al. I. Cuza University of Iaşi, Romania, in addition to a baccalaureate degree from Colegiul Naţional Ştefan cel Mare of Tg. Neamţ, Romania.
