Gerald L. Phillips is professor of voice at Towson University in Maryland. He has a PhD and Masters in philosophy (aesthetics) from Temple University, a Master of Arts in voice and television production from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, and a Bachelor of Science in music education from Central Michigan University. He has published papers in journals of music, literature, humanities, world peace, and diversity. He has taught in the music, philosophy, humanities, and art departments, and in the cultural studies program at Towson.
