About the Author

Dr. Cheri Philip is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Psychology at Howard University. She holds a Ph.D. and an M.A. from the University of Michigan, and a B.S. from Howard University.

Dr. Philip’s awards include the 2005 Dissertation Research Award from the American Psychological Association, the Patricia Gurin Research Award from the University of Michigan, and the 2003 Charles D. Moody Research Fellowship from the University of Michigan.
